The word of the month for September is civility. Civility means being courteous or polite to and around others. We have spent a lot of time during the first few weeks of school reading books and discussing how we can make our classroom a great place to learn and be. This morning we went to our first character education assembly performed by Mrs. Narciso and Mrs. Kuhn's classes. They sang a song about manners, gave different examples of what it means to be civil, and then Mrs. Kuhn read a story called Please Say Please by Margery Cuyler.
Finally, all of the children sang the Schaefer School song together.
