Nocturnal animals came up during a class discussion earlier today. About half of the class knew what nocturnal meant and half didn't. Daniel taught us that nocturnal animals usually sleep during the day and are awake at night. Here is a short video and song about the difference between nocturnal and diurnal.
We then brainstormed a bunch of different animals that we know are nocturnal. Research nocturnal animals. In the comments below, share the animals that you know become active at night. Here are a few links to get you started.

Read your classmates' responses and try not to duplicate their answers!
In that same conversation, someone came up with a question: What is the difference between a possum and an opossum? Be the first to find the answer and you will get a prize! Happy researching!
An Opossum has no fur on its tail and is from North America.
The Possum has fur on its tail and is from Austrailia, and places near there.
