After serving for the first half of the year, it is time to say thank you and goodbye to our current Student Government representatives:

And hello to our newly elected class representatives!

Here's what each of the candidates had to say about why they thought they would make a good representative:

Daniela-"Because I am a good listener on the rug and I am not shy if I go to Student Government meetings and I am allowed to speak in front of all of those kids that are listening to me."

Alex P.-"I think I should be the Student Government because I am not afraid of the principal and I am a good listener and I am nice."

Olivia-"Because I am helpful to others.  I am not rude.  I am kind.  I am always smiling at people.  I listen to people.  I am not shy.  I am willing to help others."

Alex C.-"Because I'm smart and I care for the school.  I like to learn.  I don't interrupt when the teacher is speaking.  I care for the people in class.  When someone is hurt I try to comfort the person.  I don't whine when I lose a game.  I speak up to others."

Isabella-"I am nice to people.  I am a good speaker.  I would like to run for government just like my mom is running at her job.  I like to help people."

Everyone in the class got to vote for 2 representatives and the two with the most votes were the winners.  Congratulations to everyone who gave it a try!  Our next Student Government meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 27th.
