The snow has started and everyone is on their way home safe and sound.  We were missing 6 children today.  Even though we had 16 kids and a half day, we managed to pack a lot into our snowy morning together.

Mrs. Nerkizian is going to be out at a math workshop on Monday so we got a head start on unit 9 in Fundations: closed syllables!

Everyone was extremely eager to have time to read.  Between some newfound freedom choosing the best location for each of us to stay focused and read comfortably and a bunch of kids exploring new book bins, the group couldn't wait to dive in to a good book.

Can you believe how quiet everyone was?  That's really what it sounded like for 30 whole minutes!  Lots of focused readers jotting down their thinking to share with their partners in lots of different places.   We love to read!

Be safe and stay warm!  I'm planning on getting in some comfy, warm clothes and doing some cooking and baking.  What are you doing to keep busy during the storm?
