This month we have been talking about two very grown up words: tolerance and diversity.  Diversity means the ways that we are different from each other. Not everyone is the same. Tolerance means accepting (being okay with) the things that make us different from one another. Everyone doesn't have to be the same.

We read books like: The Land of Many Colors

 Whoever You Are

In The Land of Many Colors, the purple, blue, and green people each thought they were the best.  They ended up in a war because of it but then couldn't tell who was which color anymore.  In the end, they learned to be tolerant of people who were different than they were and discovered that diversity is a good thing after all.
