November 11 is called Veterans Day, and honors the men and women who served in the US Armed Forces. Veterans Day is observed on November 11 each year in the USA.

My grandfather, Henry Clay Black , is a veteran of the Korean War. He served in the U.S. Navy as an officer. I learned his ship was called U.S.S. Helena. There were a little more than 900 men on the ship. He was on the Admiral of the Seventh Fleet’s staff. The Seventh Fleet is in the Western Pacific.
My grandfather and great-grandfather are both Veteran’s. My grandfather is a Veteran of the Vietnam War and my great-grandfather was a Veteran of WWII. They were both in the Army and served as Sergents.

My grandpa was in the Army. He served in Germany. He was in the Army from 1967 through 1969.
I interviewed my grandpa, Amando Langella Jr. He is a veteran. He served in the army between 1960 and 1962. He did basic training at Fort Dix, NJ and was stationed overseas in Germany. While in the army he played the clarinet and piano in the army band.
My daddy’s uncle’s fought in World War 11 and they rode motorcycles.
My papa Len was in the army reserve in the 1960’s but he didn’t have to fight. My grandma Jo Jo still has his uniform!
My great grandfather Joseph, who I was named after (middle name), was in the Navy during World War II. He was stationed in Virginia.

My dad served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was stationed in Cuba and worked on land, and not at sea. His dad, my grandpa, served in the Army during World War II.
