Every year our first and second grade classes elect representatives from their class to serve as Student Leaders. Students brainstorm about leadership qualities, learn about citizenship and voting, and experience an election. Our Student Leaders act as leaders in their classroom community, support school wide service projects, and develop leadership skills. Student Leaders have helped to launch recycling in their classrooms and in the cafeteria, collected socks for the homeless, collected soup for our district food pantry, and more. Their passion for their community is inspiring!
