Chapter 1 Lesson 2 Review—-Using Online or Actual Text

Hey everyone, hope you’re all doing well. As far as science is going, I think it’s time we review a little before we start moving forward again.

We are going to review Classifying Matter: Elements, Compounds and Mixtures. This is on pages 9 – 13 in your Chemistry Text.

I’ve added some review assignments on the supplemental online resource we have through Pearson. You can click here:

http://blogs.socsd.org/soms/for-students/

to get to the “Learning Resources” are for students, on the SOMS website.

From there:

Click “Pearson EasyBridge”

Once logged in, Click the Pearson Realize tab on the right side of the screen, it will bring you to some review and reinforce activities

You can complete these online, if there is any issue with that, you can always answer the questions in your notebook.

I’ll be checking in to see your progress, look over your work and give you some heads up on things you may have forgotten.

Be sure to check Google classroom as, well, as I look for you questions there, too!

Space Spinoffs

There’s more space in your life than you think….

Use the links below to find out more about how inventions, first developed for use in space, have been turned into innovations we use here on Earth (on a pretty regular basis):

History of Space Exploration Timeline

We’ll be working on a timeline project in class, focusing on the advancements made in exploring space.

Remember to use your assignment sheet (given out in class) to help guide and organize. Your finished product can be a design of your choice, but you should submit either a hard copy or digital version in Google Classroom
