Most recently, Malala Yousafzai a 16 year old from Pakistan was a possible finalist for the Nobel Peace Prize.  She has a new book out called I am Malala.  Please read her story from Time for Kids – Malala Yousafzai. 

After reading and listening to the story of Malala, think about why people sometimes hurt each other. These ordeals are referred to as social injustices. Ask your parents about a time in their lives when they witnessed, read about, or experienced a social injustice and what they learned from this event.  Please post your discussion below.
