This week starts the NCAA Men’s Division I Basketball Tournament.  The tournament involves 63 basketball teams playing in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion of college basketball. This year all the games are taking place in Indianapolis.

Many fans complete brackets to see if they can predict the winner.  DePaul mathematics professor Jeff Bergen calculated the odds of selecting all 63 games on a bracket correctly. Based on his math… you will lose a bet with Warren Buffet for one billion dollars.

The odds of someone randomly predicting a perfect bracket: 1 in 9,223,372,036,854,775,808.
