April 25th is World Penguin Day. With up to 20 living species, penguins are among the most amazing creatures alive. They are birds that cannot fly, but they can swim better than many ocean animals. And they have this incredible ability to make us think they are cute. So to celebrate World Penguin Day, watch this Ted-Ed video on penguins and comment about an interesting fact.
It is very surprising that the Penguins closest relatives are the albatross because the albatross are known for their amazing wingspan and their flight capabilities but the penguin is flightless. I was also surprised about there are two species of penguins which there population is in the thousands, which shows humans have to use less oil and all fossil fuels that cause global warming. In the end I found this video very interesting.
I agree with Sebastian. It is very interesting that the closest relatives to penguins are Albatross. It is really interesting is that their wing span can reach up to about 12 feet! Also it is very upsetting that in some time, penguins could be close to extinct or extinct because o humans harm to the ocean. When we pollute we cause more pollution in the water and it makes it harder for sea creatures to live in toxic water.
It is surprising that some penguins live near the equator. Usually we would think that there is penguins in the south like Antarctica or Australia.
