Well, this year was definetely my growth spurt in school. I got taller, smarter, learned more both socially and academically, and spent time with amazing teachers. This also was a year of many events in our world, like the Newtown Shootings, the presidential election, the boston bombings, and the threats on North Korea. But what I have to say is that I can’t even choose a moment, there were som many memorable ones. But what I can say I’ll remember when I have my book published and I teach somewhere, is how this school helped me so much, and how Mr. Eckert, Ms.O’Brien, and Mrs.McBride have helped me so much in paving my future, and teaching me valuble things that will go on with me in life.
I will definitely remember a horrible tragedy like the Newtown shootings and the Boston bombings. They will stay planted in my memory forever because even 20 years from now I will still remember the sadness from those days.
I had so many great memories from this year…some from school and some from world news. My fondest memory from school was the dance festival. I had so much fun and was so honored to play the National Anthem in front of the whole school. Of corse, it is also good to know how to play it on the guitar…Maybe for a future gig? My most interesting memory from world news was when the meteorite hit Russia. It actually hit on my birthday!! These are just a few of the many great memories I had this year.
There are a lot of great memories at Cottage Lane .My most memoranble moments at Cottage Lane is playing Survivor at Math Olympiads. Ms.McBride made math fun!!!!! Another memories was when we had to make products and commercials when we were learning about advertising. There are alot of events that have happened that I will always remember. One of them is the Newtown Shootings. That was a very sad time. Also I remember the bombings in Boston. There were alot of sad storiesabout people who got injured or killeed from the bomb. There were alot of memories that I have here at Cottage Lane and events that have happened.
My most memorable moment in cottage lane was learning about the stock market at gt with Mrs.Mcbride. When we were learning about the stock market we played a game with buying stocks we were in last most of the time until Mr.Eckert helped us and we came in 2nd to last place. From that it got me more into stocks then I did before we learned about it. Thank you Mr. Eckert and Mrs.Mcbride.
Another memorable moment is robotics with Mr.Eckert and Mr.Tanenbaum. In robotics we had groups I was with ben we acomlished some programs and some we did not in the contest. It was really fun learning the programs and accomplishing them. Thank you Mr.Eckert and Mr.Tanenbaum.
One of the most memorable events of cottage lane was the chinese people coming to the school. They were INCREDIBLE!!! My favorite was the mask guy. Also, the cicadas are awesome!!! I rescued three, held four, and fed one!!! Finally, I liked Gifted and Talented. All the fun progects were awesome!!! I will never forget Ms.Mcbride.
This was one of the most memorable years in human history!
First let’s go to our school, Cottage Lane.
Our school turned 60 years since 1953. We had the alumni come to our school and tell us what school was like back then.
Now let’s go around the globe.
What I am most impressed about after about 5 years of waiting, the Mars Rover has landed on Mars, a huge accomplishment for the human race. Thats just some of my most merable memories of the year 2013.
This year in fourth grade has been tragic yet amazing with all of the events in the world. My most memorable moment in Cottage Lane would be becoming the First Place winners of Field Day. My most memorable moment in the world would be the shooting at Sandy Hook. Those five to ten year old kids hadn’t done anything wrong. They had so much life ahead of them and I think that everyone should care for their loved ones just like the teachers at Sandy Hook did for the students who thank goodness survived.
Fourth grade was a very memorable year for me. The field trips were probably my favorite part. We visited the Bronx Zoo, Carnegie Hall, Tallman Park, and Phillipsburg Manor. My favorite of these was probably the Bronx Zoo. The school year was wonderful but there have been many tragedies in the world. In December of 2012 there was a horrible shooting at a school in Newtown, Connecticut. Many children with long lives ahead of them passed away that day. We will never forget it.
This year was super! For example, this year was Cottage Lane’s first peep contest. Even though I did not win, I had a great time entering. Jacob King helped me brain storm some great ideas. One idea was the falling of the Twin Towers, but we realized it will be too sad to do it. We settled with The Signing of the Declaration of Independence. That contest was so fun! I will also never forget the mars rover landing. I can’t believe N.A.S.A was able to do it! It was so cool! My first year at Cottage Lane was amazing and I can’t wait for next year!
This year was a very eventful year in and out of Cottage Lane. A few natural disasters struck, like Hurricane Sandy and Andrea. Many homes lost power like mine, and some were wreaked. Although this year may have been disastrous, it was also Cottage Lane’s 60th birthday. Alumni visited our school, and we learned that Cottage Lane was very different than it is today. This year was very memorable to all.
Many memorable things happened this year. First, there was Sandy which caused destruction and sadness. Second, there was a successful landing of a rover named Curiosity which made NASA scientists happy. Also, it was Cottage Lane’s 60th birthday and Alumni came to tell stories of what Cottage Lane was like when they were little. On Field Day our class came in second place and that made all of us happy. To conclude, this year was very memorable.
This year was a notable year. First, when hurricane sandy came, we got a week off of school. But when we came back, everyone was so nice to each other and especially the teachers. Most of the kids in the school were okay. Also, one of the most memorable things was the first day when I met my classmates and started to feel more comfortable around everyone and the school. Cottage Lane has helped me learn more, grow more, and have more fun. I wouldn’t have changed a thing about this year.
This year was a memorable year. Even though there were some bad things that happened, there were a lot of good things. For example, this year was Cottage Lanes 60th birthday. Everybody celebrated, and we had people come in who were once students at Cottage Lane, too. I also remember the election of the next USA president. Barack Obama won and is now president for another 4 years. My first year at Cottage Lane was very exciting, sad, and memorable. I will never forget it.
There are many memorable moments In school and out of school this year. I remember when we did a geometry project and what we had to do was take pictures of stuff and tell what shapes your pictures are. I also remember when me and my sister and also my aunt went out on my trampoline in the pouring rain and played games.
This year was a memorable year at Cottage Lane!!! 2013 was the year Cottage Lane turned 60. Alumni came in to tell us about what the school was like over the years. During this school year a man went into space and dropped down to Earth. He went so fast that he went faster than sound. This year was very memorable.
There were many memorable moments this year. I remembered when Mrs. Vega-Cabrera did a treasure hunts in the classroom when we had to find cards with answers that matches the questions on our sheets.I also remember when Chloe and I went to the carnival together.
This year was very memorable. I will always remember the tragedies like the marathon bombing. From 4TH grade I enjoyed going to GT.
