How to make the /s/ sound:
You teeth are tight with tongue inside the teeth and air coming straight out. Always use a mirror to help you correctly make your /s/ sound. Practice producing the sound in isolation and then make syllables using the /s/ sound with the long vowel sound (i.e. as, es, sa, se). It is very important that you are correctly producing the sound in isolation and in syllables before you can move to using the sound in words. Please use a mirror at all times to make sure you are making the sound correctly.
Please practice your speech sound at least 10 minutes a day!!
It is important that you practice at home or it will be extremely difficult for you to generalize using the correct production outside of my classroom.
