I dunno. There is a lot of good ones I could choose from but I would say BRAVE is the theme of the book. Kek is brave for taking on the challenges in his sad life. For example he doesn’t cry as much as I would if my dad and brother died right in front of me.Also I would have been rude and mad at Dave and this new state for making me stay here instead of my true home.Plus I would be very very worried if my one of a kind(In a good way) mom disappeared without know trace. I think the theme is BRAVE.
I agree!
It’s hard to choose but I think the theme of the home of the brave is probably hope. Since his dad and brother are dead and his mom is gone missing with no trace of her and Kek still being positive and hopeful that his mother still alive and that you’re able to go back to Africa soon. I am happy for Kek
because he is making new friends and wants to help is it in Cousin. This is why I think the theme of home of the brain is hope.
I think the theme of the book is to believe in your dreams.I think this because Kek believes his mother will come to him
The theme could be believing in your dreams. Since dad and brother are dead and mom is missing. He dreams of finding his mom.
I think the theme of home of the brave is go with your gut because kek has made some changes like in school and with hannah but obviously their are more themes but the first one that was good to pop up in my mind was go with your gut.
I think that the theme of the book is to like dave said to get your feet wet because when you are new to something you need to explore it before you do something big. Kek needs some time to adjust to his new country before he, for example washes the dishes. He broke them into pieces because he put them in the washing machine! I think the theme is also to be brave because it is really hard to be in a different country with things you do not know. Kek is meeting a lot more people.
