Mr.Doctor was the best teacher ever. He always brought a smile and always will be loved.
Mr. Doctor impacted the lives of many children and parents. He was a role model and loved to share his knowledge with his students. Thank you Mr. Doctor for changing my daughter’s outlook towards school and helping her reach her full potential and be a success! Amanda Malpeli will always remember and cherish the moments she shared in your classroom. In our prayers.
He loved to play kik ball
My children never had Mr. Doctor but he was a teacher that they all spoke of. I met him during a trip to Philadelphia and instantly knew why all the kids loved him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his wife, family, colleagues and students.
Mr.Doctor will live forever in our hearts. He had the best sense of humor, and he made a difference in a countless amount of lives. He is the nicest teacher I have ever had. He was also a great friend to loads of us and we should cherish all of the good memories we have of him. Mr.Doctor made learning fun for many people, he has changed many lives. Mr.Doctor has taught us multiple important lessons and we should thank him for everything he has done.
I agree. It is very depressing that he is gone, and he will forever be in our prayers. He is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, and yes, he definitely made it fun to learn. I will cherish the memories of him, and he will forever be in my heart.
He was such a nice teacher although I did not have him. He will be missed.
He was such a nice teacher although I did not have him. We will all always remember him.
Mr. Doctor. He was not only a teacher, he was a motivator, that’s what was so special about him. He had a great personality, and humor. He was close to everyone by the way he lived. If someone asked ” where’s Mr. Doctor?”, the answer would be ” motivating someone”. It’s so sad to see him go, but he would tell everyone ” don’t be sad that I’m not here, be happy for the great life I lived.” Heroes are awesome, but forgotten after awhile. Legends are amazing, they are not forgotten. That’s why Mr. Doctor was the man he still is. He was the #1 Yankees fan in New York. Not only did he support people, he made someone feel the way they should feel about themselves. Mr. Doctor, you are gone, but never forgotten. Love, Peter Mangini

Two of my children had Mr. Doctor. Nick in 2004 as a math teacher and Joe who had him this year as his homeroom teacher. I am grateful for the opportunity.
Mr. Doctor led his students with intelligence, joy, creativity, compassion, caring, empathy, understanding and pride. Although they will walk without him for the rest of this year, he will be in their hearts and in their minds for many years to come. Every time I saw him throughout the years, I never failed to tell him what he meant to Nick and even Michael who didn’t have him but still knew him. So glad Nick got to talk to him at the Christmas party for Joe’s class this year and share some memories. Nick happened to call during my teacher conference with Mr. Doctor this year. He was in the middle of writing a paper and when I said who was calling and that I had to pick up the call, Mr. Doctor said “Of course” and then answered the phone instead saying in his sternest voice, “Nicholas Scarpelli, this is Mr. Doctor, your fifth grade teacher.” And then his voice melted into warmth and laughter as he said, “How are you.” They spoke on the phone for about five minutes. Yes, he was that kind of teacher that NEVER forgot a student.
Mr. Doctor, thank you for showing your students what it means to be passionate about your craft and how to lead by action and engagement. You were truly one of a kind. Thank you for all you shared and all you did. RIP. There is a huge hole in our heart today. We miss you.
Mr. Doctor was my fifth grade teacher. I cherished every moment I spent with him. When he taught….he made it so that we could enjoy everything that we learned. Mr. Doctor to me will always be remembered as my favorite teacher who was funny and intelligent. I know that I was only his student but I really got close to him and I am thankful I did. I remember the night I went to my fifth grade graduation….. He stopped looked at me and gave me a hug. He was really a special educator and I am very happy I got the chance to be apart of his life. He will never be forgotten.
I will miss him so much. There will always be a place in my heart for him.?
Mr. Doctor, without a doubt, has been the best teacher I have ever had. He was kind, funny, generous and had a lot of other qualities. We will remember the fun times we had in his classroom. He means a lot to all of us. Mr. Doctor will be remembered and missed by all.
although I did not have Mr. Doctor he will always be remembered with the banners, the family and the community.
Mr.Doctor was a VERY NICE teacher and very funny the students and family will always love him.
Mr.Doctor was one of my favorite teachers ever. He always had a joke to share. I will miss him SO MUCH!!!!
Mr. Doctor was my teacher from 2014-2015 and was the most enthusiastic teacher! I was the last full class with him until hissing this year! I still remember the smile on his face. He was, to me, the most intelligent, compassionate, and loving teacher, I have ever had. My nickname was the Prezz because I am related to Thomas Jefferson! He always had the same smile, and always had a joke to share! I am only 12, and so far I have experienced 3 awful deaths in my life! My sister’s, grandpa’s and Mr. Doctor’s! Bless his family! This goes out to the family if you are reading this, you are the luckiest family to have had Mr. Doctor in your life! Even though some people thought he was the meanest, think again! Mr. Doctor may have been strict, but that was just to show you and prepare for you, what will happen in middle school. I’m still crying about him for 8 1/2 months, but its real tragic. Mr. Doctor will always be missed! I send all respect, and happiness for the family. May you Rest In Peace, Mr. D
From the bottom of my heart,
Carly Jefferson

Again, from the bottom of my heart,
Carly Jefferson
