Two weeks ago, we kicked of this month’s Color of Character, October is Gray, at our monthly assembly. Read more about the assembly here. Since then, classes have been involved in a variety activities to reinforce our word of the month, empathy. Mrs. King worked with a few classes to practice empathy, figuratively and literally, by standing in someone else’s shoes. In addition to morning meetings discussions and/or writing activities, classes read the Invisible Boy, the book of the month. Our hallway display is a visual reminder to practice empathy and allow everyone’s true colors to shine through.
