Congratulations to Cottage Lane Elementary School third-grader Vincent M. for being selected as a New York Jets Upstander this week! Vincent was nominated by Teacher Sunita Hill and Teaching Assistant Kathy Conway for assisting Ms. Conway after a recent fall and rallying other students to help. Upon his Upstander recognition Vincent reflected that “he tries his best to always do the right thing.” Good job, Vincent!
This is the first year that Cottage Lane Elementary School has participated in the New York Jets and Stomp Out Bullying’s Upstander of the Week program, which aims to reduce and prevent bullying nationwide. Those recognized receive a t-shirt, two tickets to a Jets home game and a parking pass.
