Today, Cottage Lane had a special visitor, The Forgiver! She reminded us that a new year brings an opportunity to have a new beginning. We get to start fresh with a clean slate and become better citizens for ourselves and the world. Together, we sang Forgiveness by Mathew West and introduced our poem of the month, New Beginnings. This month we will focus on forgiveness. Forgiveness is something you do for yourself. It lowers your stress and makes you happier. Getting rid of negative feelings and negative emotions makes you a better person. Staff and students were encouraged to write down and get rid of negative feelings. The Forgiver took them all away, so we could start a new year with a clean slate.
