Distance Learning

Hi everyone!  I miss learning and laughing with you all so much.
I hope you’re being kind to your families and helping out as much as you can at home!

I know we are all in the same position while Distance Learning is being figured out.

Please reference the new tabs for Distance Learning.
Information for both Math and Science will be posted on in their respective drop-down options! 🙂

Math Google Classroom Code

Hi families!
Today in math class the students joined a new Math Google Classroom.
If your child was absent today, please have them log into their Google account at home.
Once they are logged in, click on the Google Classroom icon.
Next, click on the + sign at the top right portion of the screen.
Type in the following code: NRLMMOG

If needed, some future assignments may be posted on Google Classroom.
I will also always post assignments here, as well.

Thank you so much!

Helpful Videos for Equations and Inequalities

The link above can be very helpful to you!
You will have access to the packet pages (in case you are absent or lost the packet) AND videos!
Each lesson consists of 2 pages that we usually complete in class together and the last 2 pages are homework/extra-practice.  The videos for each lesson have someone teaching you the material.

This is VERY helpful if you are absent or if you forget your math interactive notebook at home!
This can also be helpful if you need a re-fresher!

Math Institute Today

I’m so sorry for the inconvenience, however; I had to cancel Math Institute for today.
This session will be made up in the future! There will be Math Institute tomorrow, as scheduled, for Thursday, November 21st.
Thank you!

Fall Equinox Celebration!

The Fall Equinox is occurring on Saturday, September 23d this year at around 3:50AM.  We will be celebrating this event in class on Friday, September 20th in our Science classes! This day is special because it marks the start of Autumn as well as provides equal hours of day and night.

Throughout the following unit of Astronomy, we will be exploring the following questions:

-What causes the seasons?

-Why does the temperature change?

-Why does the amount of daylight change throughout the year?

For the celebration, we are asking students to bring in food. You can bring in any food/drink that is associated with either the fall season or the sun (day/night).
If you are bringing in any items, please:

-Provide enough for 5-10 students
-Provide a list of ingredients
-If your child has allergies, please note that on the permission slip

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us!
