Technology Education
From kindergarten through Grade 12, South Orangetown students benefit from technology-infused learning environments. Technology classes are part of the K-8 curriculum and dedicated technology staff in each school collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate computer science, robotics, 3D printing with the core curriculum. At Tappan Zee High School, technology electives include AP Computer Science and Project Lead the Way engineering courses. Afterschool enrichment opportunities include numerous tech and STEM-oriented options at the elementary, middle and high school levels. A district-wide School Maker Faire each spring offers students the opportunity to share their work with the community.
