For your design, you will be utilizing Tinkercad, an online design tool to create your project. Tinkercad is a 3D design program that runs online. You use your mouse to drag and drop objects onto a work plane and combine them into new shapes. Your mouse also helps you move around your shapes and resize them to what you need. To start using Tinkercad, you should first create an account using your Google Account information.
After you are registered, start off by completing the basic tutorials listed under the learn tab.
After you have completed these tutorials, move on to the more advanced tutorials that are available. The tutorials will require you to use a variety of different tools, shortcuts and commands to build many different objects. The more tutorials you complete, the more skills and practice you will have.
If you are able to practice using many of the tutorials, you will be able to build more complex objects when it comes to printing your own design. Be sure to pay careful attention to the text boxes as they give you tips. Take notes if you find something helpful as you might need it later.
